L&S Contracting | Glazed Partition Contracators

Glazed Partition Contractors

L and S Contracting are one of UK's premier Glazed Partition Contractors, designing, manufacturing and installing fantastic timber glazed screens. Our timber glazed screens are an ideal solution for separating corridors, link corridors and partitioning. Screens are most commonly used in Schools, Hospitals and Offices to provide partitions within a room. All our timber screens are typically prefabricated in our workshop for installation on-site from a choice of softwood or decorative hardwood. Glazed in safety, clear, obscured and wired glass options to suit the purpose and positioning of the screens and is fitted to suit the appropriate fire rating required. Beading can pinned, counter-sunk cups and screwed or pelleted with matching timber.
We are able to offer the latest technology in glazing systems with radian control and insulation properties, this offers the ability to reduce the radiated heat level by a measurable amount for a set time as well as the ability to provide insulation for part of the set time. E.G. 60/30 would offer 60 mins integrity coupled with 30 mins insulation of 30/<15kW/m2 - 30 mins integrity / 30 mins low radiation level. All this allowing for increased safety levels.

L & S Doors | Fire Doors

Fire Doors

L & S Doors Ltd are the UK’s leading manufacturers, suppliers and installation contractors of standard and non-standard Fire Doors. • Works Completed:

  • Timber framed windows & sliding shutters
  • Internal workstations / Reception desk

Client Comments:
""L & S Contracting Ltd were responsible for the general joinery sub-contract for our new offices and the internal fit out. The joinery contract for the building was unusually high as the majority of external walls are timber framed with a Douglas Fir rain screen cladding as well as timber framed windows and sliding shutters. L & S evident performance on this sub-contract gave us confidence to invite them to tender for the 16 built-in purpose made workstations and Reception desk. Their part was successful and the contract completed within time and budget. There was a number of details to which L & S contributed their expertise and practicality. This has resulted in a design and construction of quality sufficiently robust to withstand the critical appraisal of 16 architects!."

Comments:

This was a change in direction for our company to be involved working direct for a group of architects rather than working along side them in conjunction with a Main Contractor. We achieved everything that we anticipated and client satisfaction was paramount.

Comments:
L & S Contracting Ltd were a key team member in the successful completion of the English Institute of Sport in Sheffield. L & S Contracting Ltd won the opportunity to negotiate the work based on a competitive first stage tender and their performance with Interserve on previous projects. The £20 million national indoor sports facility will provide Sheffield with the grounding to excel in sporting excellence. L & S completed 1200 m2 of external timber cladding and 500 m2 of internal wall linings, with an order value approaching £750,000.00. The programme was challenging and the detailing demanded a high quality approach to the installation.

Client Comments:
"Quality and performance were paramount objectives on this prestigious project. Problems were addressed openly with L & S who displayed a 'Can Do' attitude from the start. The L & S team ensured the overriding objectives were achieved without compromising the programme or the GM target cost."
