Fire Proof Doors
Fire proof doors have two primary functions when a fire breaks out:

1. To contain flames and smoke to allow safe passage away from the building.
This creates a barrier which isolates the fire away from the area of escape, allowing the recommended amount f time given the distance of the exit point.

2. To delay the spread of flames and smoke.
Depending on the specific requirement fro the particular part of the building they operate within determines the relevant rating required.

As well as being governed by an external regulating body, all our fire doors are manufactured to comply with Certifire regulations, and are supplied with an anti-tamper label displaying compliance; giving our customers the peace of mind that all our doors are manufactured to be fit for purpose.

Interior Wall Cladding Manufacturers

L and S Contracting are premium designers, manufacturers and installation specialists of Internal Wall Cladding. As you will see from the images on the left, we have undertaken some very large scale projects requiring this expert service. Our internal panels are typically manufactured from a core material of either MDF or chipboard. The wood wall panelling can be painted with either a superior prime coat for finishing on-site or fully factory painted to any RAL number within our factory, requiring no further finishing on-site.

Alternatively, we can produce interior cladding with a natural, stained or lacquered veneer finish or a laminate to suit. All our interior panels can be fire rated or not to meet the requirements of the job. Panels are fixed onto batons or clips for visible or secret fixing. We can undertake any size project with our maximum working sheet size of 3050mm x 1220mm.

Internal cladding in hard or softwood is also a specialist service we can offer our customers. Cladding can be primed for finishing on-site or treated with a natural stain or lacquer. We can clad your interior walls and ceiling onto timber grounds or studding and fix to suit your design, attaching the timber vertically, horizontally, diagonally or herring bone.

We also produce and construct your stud partition walls in a timber or metal construction which can be cladded with standard plasterboard, fire lined plasterboard or any other material you may require to suit a specific job. Our fully trained and licensed operators can work with all types of access equipment including scissor lifts, cherry pickers and mobile scaffolding units.

L and S Contracting are one of UK's premier Glazed Partition Contractors, designing, manufacturing and installing fantastic timber glazed screens. Our timber glazed screens are an ideal solution for separating corridors, link corridors and partitioning. Screens are most commonly used in Schools, Hospitals and Offices to provide partitions within a room. All our timber screens are typically prefabricated in our workshop for installation on-site from a choice of softwood or decorative hardwood. Glazed in safety, clear, obscured and wired glass options to suit the purpose and positioning of the screens and is fitted to suit the appropriate fire rating required. Beading can pinned, counter-sunk cups and screwed or pelleted with matching timber.

We are able to offer the latest technology in glazing systems with radian control and insulation properties, this offers the ability to reduce the radiated heat level by a measurable amount for a set time as well as the ability to provide insulation for part of the set time. E.G. 60/30 would offer 60 mins integrity coupled with 30 mins insulation of 30/<15kW/m2 - 30 mins integrity / 30 mins low radiation level. All this allowing for increased safety levels.
