Comments:

A new £34 million police station that will become the nerve centre of operations in Leeds. The facility at Elland Road opposite Leeds United’s ground will be home to more than 1,100 staff. The new divisional police headquarters comprising offices, storage areas, custody suite containing 40 cells designed to stop prisoner suicides, multi level car park and secure yard area It houses detectives from CID, neighbourhood police, the district command centre and officers responding to 999 calls. L & S were pleased to supply the complete internal & external timber Door sets including Ironmongery package to this state of the art building including. American white oak veneered doors were chosen within the HQ with doors up to 2.7m in height, achieving up to 42dB rating and complimented with brushed stainless steel ironmongery, all covered with our unrivalled 25 year guarantee to meet the requirements of facilities management service program. Within the custody suite we provided a sever duty rated door sets specially designed for the environment including anti barricade removable stops and electronic locking systems, hardwood tri laminated core doors and vandal resistant Ironmongery. A remarkable building and project for L & S Contracting Ltd to be involved in.

L & S | Student Accommodation

Information:

The contract consisted of 369 student bedrooms each with its own ensuite & kitchen. The look & feel of the student rooms are akin to high quality hotel bedrooms. Ensuite bathroom pods were used to provide an extremely high standard of finish in these areas, while condensing the finishing programme on site. The oriel windows and cedar cladding gave a unique fasade to a truly remarkable building. A unique project for L & S Contracting Ltd to be involved in on a stunning 66 metre high, 22 storey elliptical tower.

    Information:

    A 20 bed facility to provide medium secure accommodation for men with mental health problems who have committed criminal offences or at risk of offending. The unit has two wards named after well-know Yorkshiremen - The Appleton ward, an acute ward named after Bradford-born physicist Sir Edward Appleton and the Chippendale continuing car ward, after carpenter Thomas Chippendale. It also contains a therapy suite named after Castleford sculptor Henry Moore. A worthwhile project for L & S Contracting Ltd to be involved in.

    L & S | City Living Apartments

    Information:

    Cavendish House is a high profile residential City Centre scheme delivering 92 apartments as well as 50,000 sq ft of high quality retail and office space with 38 basement parking spaces.

    The original building was a late 1960s concrete tower and podium style office block, which has now been stripped back to structure and fully re-clad, with the addition of new stories at both tower and podium levels. The lower apartments enclose two landscaped courtyards which provide a private controlled green amenity space for residents. Residents also benefit from secure basement parking and from the floors within the tower some stunning views across the City.
